Frequently asked questions
How do I sign in?
Meing uses passwordless sign-in — there's no password to remember.
- Open Meing and enter your email address.
- We email you a 6-digit code (your one-time code, or OTP).
- Type the code into the app to sign in.
That's it. The code expires after a short time, so request a fresh one if it's been a while.
My sign-in code (OTP) didn't arrive — what do I do?
- Check your spam / junk folder — the code comes from our email provider, Postmark.
- Make sure you typed your email address correctly, then tap resend code.
- Codes can take a minute; wait 60 seconds before requesting another.
- If you use filters or a corporate inbox, allow mail from meing.org.
- Still nothing after a few minutes? Email hello@meing.org from the address you're trying to use and we'll help.
How do I change my check-in rhythm?
Your rhythm is how often and during what hours Meing nudges you to check in.
- Go to Settings in the app.
- Open Rhythm & reminders.
- Set how many check-ins you'd like per day and the reminder window (the start and end of your day).
Your changes save right away and take effect with your next reminder.
Why am I not getting notifications?
Meing sends local reminders from your device, so they depend on your device's notification permissions.
- Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Meing and make sure Allow Notifications is on.
- Check that Focus / Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.
- In Meing, confirm your reminder window isn't set to a time you're asleep, and that the number of daily check-ins is above zero.
- If you recently denied the notification prompt, you can re-enable it in iOS Settings.
How do I restore my purchases?
If you've reinstalled the app or signed in on a new device, you can bring back your premium access:
- Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you used to purchase.
- In Meing, go to Settings → Premium.
- Tap Restore purchases.
Your premium status will sync back automatically. If it doesn't, email us and we'll sort it out.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple and managed in your Apple account:
- Open iOS Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Meing to change your plan or cancel.
Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep premium until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See our Terms for full auto-renewal details.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you have trouble, email hello@meing.org and we'll point you in the right direction.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all of its data right inside the app:
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Note: deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that separately in your Apple subscription settings.
What data does Meing store about me?
Only what the app needs to work: your email, your sign-in session, your premium status, your reminder rhythm, and your check-in records (the values behind your “universe”). We don't collect health data, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we use no tracking or analytics SDKs. We never sell your data.
The full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy.
Is Meing available on Android?
Meing launches on iOS first. Android is on the way. If you'd like a heads-up when it's ready, email hello@meing.org and we'll let you know.
